Gardiner, Henry Balfour

(Born; London, 7 Nov 1877; Died; Salisbury, 28 June 1950). English composer. He studied with Knorr at the Hoch Conservatory in Frankfurt (1894-6), where he was influenced by Wagner and Tchaikovsky. In London he helped considerably to establish the music of his English contemporaries.
