Biography
Sainte-Colombe [Dautrecourt, Augustin]
(Born; ?nr Lyons, Circa; 1630; Died; Paris, by 1701). French
bass violist and composer. He taught in Lyons in the late 1650s and went to Paris in 1660;
an outstanding bass viol virtuoso, he was Marais' teacher. His most noted compositions are
67 Concerts for two viols.
