Thomas Lupo

( Died; London, Jan 1628). English composer of Italian origin. From a musical family, he served the court as a viol player or violinist (from 1591) and composer to the violins (from 1621). As well as vocal music, he composed many instrumental fantasias, some with 'trio-sonata' scoring, and was a pioneer of the broken consort.
