Furio Rendine
(Born in Naples, 23 March 1920, died in Rome, 22 February 1987). He attended the San Pietro a Majeila Conversatory in his native city where he studied piano and composition with its director; Francesco Cilea, the composer of L'ariesiana. Rendine went on to become one of the most prolific of all twentieth-century composers of Neapolitan songs, with some seven hundred to his credit. Among these the most popular are Malinconico autunno, La Panse and Vurria (I would like).
