Biography
Verne Reynolds

(Born; Lyons, Kansas 1926). American Horn player and composer. Studied composition at the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and the University of Wisconsin, and has studied at the Royal College of Music, London. He was a former member of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the American Woodwind Quintet, and from 1959-1968 was principal horn of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. Reynolds has been a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Indiana University, and, until his retirement in 1995, served as professor of horn at the Eastman School of Music. He was a founding member of the Eastman Brass Quintet, and as a composer has received awards and commissions from many orchestras, universities, chamber music groups, and solo performers.
