Biography
Tomasi, Henri (Born; Marseilles, 17 Aug 1901; Died; Paris, 13 Jan 1971). French composer. He was a pupil of Vidal and Caussade at the Paris Conservatoire. His music is direct in feeling, highly coloured, rich in contrast and brilliantly orchestrated. He established his reputation with stage works (L'Atlantide, Miguel de MaNtilde;ara) but also wrote numerous concertos including one for guitar (1967).(c)Groves Dictionaries, MacMillan Publishers Limited, UK
