Altenburg, Johann Ernst

(Born; Weissenfels, 15 June 1734; Died; Bitterfeld, 14 May 1801). German trumpeter. After serving as a field trumpeter in the French army (1757-66) he was organist in Landsberg and from 1769 in the village of Bitterfeld.
