Jadin, Hyacinth

(Born; Versailles, 1769; Died; Paris, Sep 1802). Composer and pianist, Jadin hailed from a musical background, studying with his father, and, by his early twenties, joining his brother Louis in the employ of the Théâtre de Monsieur. His prowess at the keyboard and compositional skills secured him a piano professorship at the forerunner of the Paris Conservatoire by the age of 26. His musical works include 3 piano concertos, numerous piano sonatas, chamber music and works inspired by the French Revolution.
