(Born; Louviers, 11 Jan 1902; Died; Paris, 16 June 1986). French
composer and organist. He studied with Tournemire, whose deputy at Ste Clotilde he became,
and then at the Paris Conservatoire (1920-28) with Gigout and Dukas. In 1930 he was
appointed organist of St Etienne-du-Mont and he toured internationally as a recitalist. His
works are few, in a vivid modal style, and include a Requiem (1947).
